Nine months ago, I picked up a brush and started painting - out of fear. A fear of not doing what I want, a fear of not being good enough, a fear of voices from the past - you're doing it wrong. You CAN'T do that. It was an act of bravery, picking up that brush and creating my first awkward painting. It was a deer-person, standing amidst trees and staring at me with judgement.
